Book Printing Museum

The book and book publishing have become national rings at the crossroads of the history of the Armenian people that transmit historical facts and scientific achievements to generations. The history of the Armenian printing went through various stages of development, which allowed future generations to improve the art of printing.
On September 25, 2017, the Museum of Printing was established in the Armenian National library. The museum consists of six halls: THE ORIGIN OF WRITING, THE ARMENIAN ALPHABET, THE PIONEERS OF ARMENIAN PRINTING, THE DIASPORA OF ARMENIAN PRINTING, BOOK PUBLISHING, THE ETERNITY OF WRITING.
The museum creates in the Armenian National Library which is the largest cache of Armenian printed. The museum of printing was established to introduce the prominent Armenian printers and to present the evolution of Armenian printing in different parts of the world. The collection includes exhibits on antique books, history of Armenian printing, printing equipment, clichés, printing machines. The museum is full of new technologies which creates an interactive environment for informal education.
